This European Standard specifies requirements for the followingdoor coordinator devices for use on double leaf swing doors:separately mounted door coordinator devices; coordinator mechanismsincorporated in door closers; coordinator mechanisms incorporatedin door closers with electrically powered hold-open devices. ? Doorcoordinator devices are used where it is necessary to ensure thecorrect sequence of closing of double leaf swing doors, for exampledoors with rebated meeting stiles. Door coordinator devicesmanufactured in accordance with this European Standard arerecommended for use wherever there is a requirement for reliablesequential closing of double leaf swing fire/smoke doorsincorporating rebated meeting stiles. Door coordinator devices foruse on fire/smoke doors need additional attributes in order tocontribute actively to meeting the essential requirements of safetyin case of fire, either independently or as part of a complete doorassembly.
