The model we consider in this paper is slightly moregeneral and is depicted in Fig. 2. Beyondconsidering an arbitrary number of encoders, L, we also allow for a hidden source, Y0 , which is not directly observed by any encoderor the decoder, and a “side information” source, YL+1, which is observed by the decoder but not by any encoder.
