Exceval™ is the trademark of Kuraray's novel watersoluble polymer, specially designed for "high water resistance". Itis commonly known that fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol showshigher water resistance based on the higher crystallinity than thatof partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol, but "viscositystability" is the critical problem. Exceval™ achieves thecompatibility of both performances, "high water resistance" and"viscosity stability" based on Kuraray's accumulatedtechnology.
