球墨铸铁管是指使用18号以上的铸造铁水经添加球化剂后，经过离心球墨铸铁机高速离心铸造成的管材，简称为球管、球铁管和球墨铸管等。主要用于自来水的输送，是自来水管道理想的选择用料。

This European Standard specifies the requirements and associatedtest methods applicable to ductile iron pipes, fittings,accessories and their joints for the construction of drains andsewers outside buildings: operating without pressure (gravitysewerage), or with positive or negative pressure (see Table 5); tobe installed below or above ground; to convey surface water,domestic waste water and certain types of industrial effluents,either in separate systems or in combined systems. This EuropeanStandard applies to pipes, fittings and accessories which are:manufactured with socketed, flanged or spigot ends; normallydelivered externally and internally coated; suitable for continuousfluid temperatures between 0 °C excluding frost, and 45 °C for DN ≤200 or 35 °C for DN > 200, according to EN 476; not intended foruse in areas subject to reaction to fire regulations.
本欧洲标准规定了适用于建筑外排水沟和下水道施工的球墨铸铁管、配件、附件及其接头的要求和相关试验方法：无压运行（重力排水），或正压或负压运行（见表5）；安装在地下或地上；在单独系统或组合系统中输送地表水、生活废水和某些类型的工业废水。本欧洲标准适用于以下管道、配件和附件：采用承插、法兰或插口端制造；通常为外部交付和内部涂层；适用于0°C（不含霜）和45°C（DN）之间的连续流体温度≤根据EN 476，DN>200时为200或35℃；不适用于受消防法规影响的区域。
