TheUM805/811/812 are low-power microprocessor (μP) supervisorycircuits used to monitor power supplies in μP and digital systems.They provide excellent circuit reliability and low cost byeliminating external components and adjustments when used with5V-powered or 3V-powered circuits. The UM805/811/812 also provide adebounced manual reset input.

Thesedevices perform a single function: They assert a reset signalwhenever the VCC supply voltage falls below apreset threshold, keeping it asserted for at least 140ms afterVCC has risen above the reset threshold. Resetthresholds are available for operation with a variety of supplyvoltages.

TheUM805 has an open-drain output stage, while the UM811/812 havepush-pull outputs. The UM805’sopen-drain RESET(_______________) output requires apull-up resistor that can be connected to a voltage higher thanVCC. The UM805/811 have anactive-low RESET(_______________) output, while the UM812has an active-high RESET output. The reset comparator is designedto ignore fast transients on VCC, and the outputs areguaranteed to be in the correct logic state forVCC down to 1V.

Lowsupply current makes the UM805/811/812 ideal for use in portableequipments. The devices come in a 4-pin SOT143 package.
