1Scope适用范围
This document specifiessafety requirements and their verification for the design andconstruction of power take-off (PTO) drive shafts and their guardslinking a tractor or self-propelled machinery to the first fixedbearing of recipient machinery. It describes methods for theelimination or reduction of risks that need specific requirementsincluding such risks arising from misuse, reasonably foreseeable bythe manufacturer. It is applicable only to those PTO drive shaftsand guards mechanically linked to the shaft by at least twobearings. When used with compatible guards for power take-off (PTO)of the tractor (master shield) or self-propelled machine and thepower input connection (PIC) of the power receiving machine, therequirements for power take-off drive shafts arecomplete.
