Tryptic Soy Agar 90mm ICR+ settle plates (lockable) is designed forthe enumeration of the total aerobic microbial count in air viaactive or passive air monitoring as well as fingerprints ofpersonnel in isolators and clean rooms.. It is a general-purposemedium that supports the growth of non-fastidious as well asmoderately fastidious microorganisms. The formulation of theSoybean Casein-Digest medium contains combination of casein and soypeptones supplying organic nitrogen, particularly amino acids andlonger-chained peptides. Sodium chloride maintains the osmoticequilibrium and the medium is supplemented with pyruvate to providean efficient neutralization of residues of hydrogen peroxide. Inaddition, the plate model (plus or “+”) is supplied with a lockablelid for safe transport after sampling without the risk of losingthe lid. For aerobic incubation the plates should be locked in the“CLOSED”-position (turn the lid clockwise) and for anaerobic ormicroaerophilic incubation in the “VENT” position (turn the lidanti-clockwise)
