欧盟负责电子电器产品标准制修订的机构为欧洲电工标准化管理委员会(CENELEC),其中,负责电池标准的技术委员会主要有三个:CLC/SR21(二次电池)、CLC/SR 35(原电池)和CLC/SR105(燃料电池)。这三个技术委员会制定的电池相关标准可参见下表:
